Trailpacking from High Tatra to Singletrek Pod Smrkem

Usually every season we take some time for a bikepacking trip to a destination on our bucket list. This year however our destination were the trails themselves. Instead of the usual gravel bike setup, we packed our do it all XC-bikes. That way our route could lead along endless singletrails and let us visit trailcenters in Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Trailpacking from High Tatra to Singletrek Pod Smrkem

... to Polands trailcenters: Babia Gora, Szczyrk and Biensko Biala. At some of them we even stopped for two nights, so that we could ride more technical terrain without luggage.

After two rather flat days with 200km and a little less rollercoaster feeling, we entered Czech Republic. Rychlebske Stezky was the most astonishing trailcenter on our trip. It had everything from flow to stones, nice landscapes and a great atmosphere.

After short stops in Lipovské, Kouty and Dolni Morava...

... we entered back into Poland and surfed on the endless Glacensis Singletrack network. With trail checks in Czarna Góra and Trutnov Trails

We crossed the Riesengebirge back into Czech Republic to go along the amazing Olbrzymy Trails and head into the infamous Singletrek Pod Smrkem.
After a final day of no luggage trail fun, it was time to catch the train from Novi Bor back to Vienna.

17 days of riding, mostly offroad and with a lot of rollercoaster feeling on very flowy singletrails. 1118km, 17k climbing and 22k downhill. Yes we used gondolas wherever possible :-)
